Integrating environmental issues into emergency WASH activities

Project dates: April - September 2008

Emergency water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) issues are closely linked to environmental conditions. Poorly designed or managed WASH activities can readily lead to unnecessary environmental damage and increased suffering, including health problems for disaster survivors.

ProAct Network has recently finalised a scoping study for the WASH Cluster project: “Integrating Environmental Issues into Emergency WASH Activities”.
