ProAct undertook an Environmental and Livelihoods Vulnerability Mapping (ELVM) project for North and South Darfur on behalf of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), with funding from the Government of Japan. The project developed a tailor-made environmental and livelihoods vulnerability conceptual and mapping framework to provide spatialized environmental and livelihood vulnerability information across North and South Darfur to improve decision making in humanitarian assistance and the return process.
